Since its founding in 2000, the Blues Festival Basel has developed into a very popular and respected regional event. The Blues Festival Basel Association, whose volunteer members share the festival’s organizational work, was founded for the festival, which is financed by sponsors and entrance fees. The festival features six days of musical highlights with international stars as well as members of the talented local music scene. During each Blues Festival Basel the 'Grammy of Swiss Blues' is awarded, the prestigious Swiss Blues Award. The festival also offers an interesting social programme. So let us look forward to the 14th Blues Festival Basel, from March 9. - 14. April 2013
